Supporting clients across the UK.
Making sense of the numbers. It’s what we do.
In divorce and separation, financial decisions are often made under pressure, with complex information coming from multiple sources. Pensions, property, borrowing capacity and future affordability can be difficult to assess without clear analysis.
We provide independent financial reporting, modelling, forecasting and analysis to clarify positions, explore options and explain potential outcomes. Our work is commonly used to support financial negotiations, mediation and court-led settlements.
Where financial reporting is most often needed.
Most enquiries fall into one of the following areas, depending on the questions that need to be answered.
Pension Reporting
When pensions form a significant part of a settlement, clear analysis is often needed to understand value, structure and potential future outcomes.
This includes pension sharing and offsetting scenarios, and is commonly relied upon to inform court decisions and final settlements.
Mortgage Reporting
Where future housing arrangements are being considered, borrowing capacity and affordability can be key constraints.
Our reports model realistic scenarios based on the information supplied, helping parties understand what may be achievable in practice and how this may affect settlements.
Settlement Reporting
IIn many cases, decisions involve balancing different assets and future income needs.
Settlement modelling helps illustrate the implications of alternative approaches, supporting informed discussions around fairness, sustainability and potential outcomes across a range of settlement scenarios.
How we work.
Before engaging us, it’s important to understand the role we play and the limits of our work.
Our role & what we do.
AVT Expert Reports provides independent, non-regulated financial reporting, analysis and modelling to support decision-making in divorce, separation and financial settlement matters.
Our work is analytical and informational only. We help clarify financial positions, explore options and explain potential outcomes.
Our reports support decision-making in settlement contexts but do not include recommendations on regulated products or transactions.
What we don’t do.
We do not provide regulated financial advice, personal recommendations, or product-specific guidance, including advice on investment strategy, pension transfers or drawdown decisions, mortgage products, or provider selection. We do not arrange or execute transactions or handle client money.
Regulated advice, where required, always sits outside the scope of our work.
Where regulated advice fits in.
Some settlement decisions sit alongside regulated financial advice. Where pensions, investments, mortgages or other regulated products are involved, regulated advice forms part of the wider decision-making process but falls outside the scope of our reporting work.
Such advice must obtained separately, from an FCA-authorised firm and may include seeking advice from an independent adviser, such as AV Trinity, or another adviser of your choosing.
Our regulatory status.
AVT Professional Services Ltd, trading as AVT Expert Reports, is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and does not provide regulated financial advice.
Where decisions relate to pensions, investments, mortgages or other regulated products, FCA-regulated advice should be obtained from an authorised firm before taking any action.
By contacting us, you acknowledge that you understand the nature and limits of our role.
